QLD Poker Machine Tender #59 (Pubs) - Tender OPEN

By Steve Gagel, Director of Business Services and Taxation

The Qld Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation has opened the tender for the latest round of gaming authorities via the Courier Mail on Wednesday 29 October. It will be interesting to see what happens in this tender after the administrative mess with tender #57 not closing prior to #58 opening – resulting in 88 unsold authorities in the South East Region.

The last traded tender value in brackets, being:

  • 145 South East ($564,867 - tender #58) – minimum acceptable price $404,240.
  • 40 Coastal ($201,362 - tender #58) – minimum acceptable price $133,240.
  • 15 Western ($131,500 - tender #58) – minimum acceptable price $118,919.

Pub Authorities

There is an increase in supply in all Regions. The South East Region has had an additional 57 authorities added to the pool of 88 that did not clear from the last tender. Will be interesting to see where the market goes this tender with the bungling of the prior two tenders muddying the waters in regard to supply and demand.

If you intend to bid in the Pub Tender, please ensure you have lodged your completed form (along with the lodgement fee of $80) in the tender box (facsimile, post or email not acceptable) with the Public Trust Office, West Tower, Ground Floor, 410 Ann Street, Brisbane prior to 4pm Wednesday 19 November 2025.
